The Wa Landlords have rebutted claims being peddled against the mental stability of the main suspect arrested in connection with the recent kidnappings and killings in the municipality.
Some close persons and relatives have held that Kankani Adongo, the main suspect arrested in connection with kidnappings and killings is mentally unstable and cannot be accused of the charges being levelled against him.
But at a press conference organised by the Landlords of Wa –Tindambas –they say Kankani Adongo has been confirmed by the gods to them as a member of the gang behind the misfortune befalling the municipality.
They further expressed optimism in the potency of the gods to get Mr. Adongo’s accomplices and bring them all to book.
“The gods have confirmed the person who has been arrested is a member of the gang. We are also convinced that he is to be blamed for the attrocities that took place in the Wa municipality and we will keep working with the gods to apprehend his accompliance in the coming days,” Hussein Kawum Tindana, spokesperson for the Landlords read to the press.
They also indicated things found on the suspect and the sum he carried around defies insanity.
“The suspect was found with a number of tools including arrows, three pick axes, two shovels, two knives which are now in the possession of the police. No one can refute that by saying the guy is insane.
“The suspect [was] also seen carrying large sum of cash in hundred Ghana Cedis, two hundred Ghana Cedis notes which let us to conclude that no crazy person would be carrying so much cash around,” he relayed.
The Landlords also urged the “the public ought to treat the assertion with none of the seriousness it merits. Any attempt to obstruct investigations with such unsupported claim won’t be accepted.”
