German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the departure of “talent coach” Otto Addo following his re-appointment as the new Black Stars coach.

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday, March 14 approved the recommendations of the five-member search committee led by Vice President Mark Addo.

An announcement was, therefore, made on Friday, March 15.

Dortmund immediately also announced on X, formerly Twitter, that Otto Addo will part ways in summer.

“Borussia Dortmund and talent coach Otto Addo will part ways in the summer as he embarks on his new role as coach for the Ghanaian national team,” the eight-time Bundesliga champions stated.

The club wished him the best.

“We wish him nothing but the best as he embraces this exciting new chapter in his career!”

Otto will officially take charge of the Black Stars in May for a period of 34 months with an option to extend for 24 months.

He will, prior to that, travel to Morocco for the Stars’ double friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda next week.
