The police have announced the arrest of Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa as part of investigations into the stabbing to death of ardent Asante Kotoko fan Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.

The arrest was announced in a statement issued on Thursday, February 6.

“This brings to six the total number of suspects arrested so far in connection with the incident,” the police said.

On Monday, just a day after the incident, three persons including the Chief Executive officer of Nsoatreman FC, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, were arrested.

Two days later, the police also announced the arrest of Isaac Ofosu and Augustine Yeboah following intelligence-led operations.

The latest suspect arrested is also known as Akosua Black Chinese.

She is currently in police custody, assisting investigations.

According to the police, intelligence-led operations will continue unabated “to ensure all perpetrators connected to the incident are arrested and brought to justice”.

The first two arrested have since been granted bail while a third was remanded in custody as a result of exhibits found after a search in his room.
