Ghana has confirmed 22 new Mpox cases, bringing the total to 446 as of August 25, 2025.

According to the situation report released by the GHS, death remains one with no admissions.

Already, Ghana has secured more than 33,000 Mpox vaccines earmarked to be administered to the at risk groups in the country.

15 out of 16 regions have all recorded cases of the disease so far in the country and concerns are rife on the increasing number of cases in the country.

The vaccine when it arrives is expected to complement efforts in managing the disease.

Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person.

The general public is encouraged to practice good hygiene, and seek medical attention if they develop symptoms such as headaches, fever, rash, and body pains.
