37-year-old Bawumia who butchered a man to death barely two weeks after inflicting cutlass wounds on his girlfriend at Gyapongkrom, a village in the Juaboso District of the Western North region, has been apprehended by the Sehwi Wiawso police.
Bawumia had butchered his girlfriend, Ama Kobre, two weeks earlier, rendering her unconscious after sustaining severe cutlass wounds before killing Abdallah.

Reporting on Onua News Friday, September 2, 2022, Freelancer Emmanuel Sowah noted 48-year-old Abdallah had said he would ensure Bawumia would be arrested for butchering his girlfriend, Ama.
Bawumia had threatened to send Abdallah to the grave before his butchered girlfriend meets him there.

Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged at the police station over the threats.
Abdallah, according to Emmanuel Sowah, was returning to Gyapongkrom from Juaboso Thursday, September 1, 2022, when Bawumia accosted him with a log, pulling a machete and butchered him to death.
According to sources, Bawumia is an ex-convict who hails from Bodi and on wanted list for other murder cases.
The community mounted a search for him after fleeing upon committing the murder.
OnuaOnline is learning one police officer disguised himself and befriended Bawumia. He subsequently lured him to Wiawso and informed his colleague officers and got him arrested.
The suspect shall be arraigned before court after investigations have been carried out.
