The fourth episode of this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful saw all sixteen contestants taking to the stage to celebrate, honour and mourn the death.

From family members, societal leaders, and loved ones, the ladies demonstrated how they bid farewell to these people from their respective regions.

Emotions were stirred, lessons etched into memory, and tradition revived, all under the glowing lights and rolling cameras of the GMB stage.

With a poignant performance, Asakia from the Upper East Region demonstrated the intricate funeral rites that she undergoes to bury her late father as the first son and child.

Asakia

This extraordinary performance sent chills down the spines of both judges and audience, with Janet Sunkwa Mills, a judge, stating that her performance should be recorded as one of GMB Hall of Fame performances.

These remarks paved the way for Asakia to beat Sika from the Ashanti and Nana from the Bono East, who were equally nominated for the Star Performance Award.

Sika, despite not winning the star performance award, took home the most eloquent award after her rich cultural and traditional display of how an Asantehemaa (Queen mother) from her region transitions to the ancestral world.

Nana

Bono East Region, Nana’s beautiful and colourful blend of traditional GTP cloth in mourning and burying her twins gave her an upper hand to win the best costume award.

Boatemaa

Boatemaa from the Ahafo Region was voted for by her colleagues as the Kivo Woman of the week.

The night ended on a more sorrowful note as North East Region Representative, Bubah, was evicted from the competition, leaving fifteen regional reps to compete for the car, cash and bragging rights.
