Hearts of Oak have clinched a 1-0 win over Heart of Lions in their opening game in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4.
It was the second game of the flagship pre-season tournament following Bibiani Goldstars’ 2-1 comeback win over Asante Kotoko.

The match at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium came barely a couple of days after the Phobians beat their opponents to win the 2025 Homowo Charity Cup.
Ransford Mensah scored the only goal of the game with a stunning freekick in the 39th minute.
The win sends Hearts of Oak on the same points as Goldstars.
The two will face off on Friday in their next games ahead of the final games on Sunday.
