NPP flagbearer hopeful, Dr. Bryan Acheampong is intensifying his political outreach as he positions himself for the party’s 2028 flagbearer race, with the Central Region emerging as a strategic focus of his early mobilization efforts.
In a heartfelt message posted on his official Facebook page, the Abetifi MP recounted a successful tour across key Central Region enclaves, including Cape Coast, Agona, Gomoa and Effutu.
He described the region’s response as a strong signal of grassroots enthusiasm for his vision.
Political watchers say the Central Region, often regarded as a decisive swing area in national elections remains crucial not only for general election dynamics but also for internal party influence.
By rallying early support there, Dr. Acheampong appears to be building a broad regional base ahead of what is expected to be a competitive NPP leadership contest.
In his statement, he commended residents for demonstrating unity and conviction, observing that their prayers and steadfast belief were energizing his campaign machinery.
“You have shown that when the Central Region stands, it stands with conviction,” he wrote, emphasizing the significance of the region in shaping the national political narrative.
Analysts interpret this as an early indication of a long-term outreach strategy aimed at consolidating support across multiple constituencies.
Concluding his campaign, he said “Together we rise. Together we win.”
Dr. Acheampong signaled that the Central Region remains a pillar of his broader political roadmap, reinforcing the symbolism of his visit as more than a courtesy tour but part of a calculated push toward 2028.
