The Fugu fever is spreading through the African continent like wild fire as Foreign Ministers from different countries clamour for the authentic Ghanaian outfit.
According to the Foreign Affairs minister who was spotted in a fugu outfit on the opening day of the ongoing African Union summit in Addis Ababa, his colleague ministers have requested that he make a presentation on the history and influence of the Fugu fabric which took Africa by storm a few weeks prior.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said “virtually all the foreign ministers have asked me to make a presentation to them at the next meeting… ECOWAS Foreign Ministers have also told me that at the next ECOWAS meeting I should bring them fugu in their national colours. That is the assignment they have given me.
“So I’m going to do fugu for all the Foreign Ministers in all their national colours and for their presidents as well.”
It will be a sight to behold seeing all the Foreign Ministers from the West African sub-region adorned in Ghana’s fugu in their national colours.
The fugu frenzy has led to Zambia hosting a Fugu and Kente exhibition in their capital, Lusaka, at their largest exhibition centre to further promote the cultural fabric from Ghana.
