Black Stars Head Coach Carlos Queiroz has named his squad for the friendly against Mexico on Friday, May 22.

In the 23-man squad released on Wednesday are six local players including two Dreams FC players.

The local players are goalkeepers Solomon Agbasi of Hearts of Oak, Gidios Aseako of Dreams FC, defenders Ebenezer Adade also of Dreams FC, Razak Simpson of Nations FC, Ebenezer Abban of Heart of Lions and midfielder Salim Adams of Medeama SC.

The selection of these local players could be as a result of Queiroz’s monitoring of the Black Galaxies recently.

Conspicuously missing is goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who has been a constant figure in the Black Stars in recent times.

The squad also features debut call-ups for a number of players including Ajax FC goalkeeper Paul Reverson, Granada’s Oscar Oppong,  Stoke City’s Rak-Sakyi Jesurun and Gremio’s Francis Amuzu.
