Despite admitting some Ministers in the current administration need a reshuffle, NDC Deputy General Secretary, Mustapha Foyo Gbande, says the Government can function without a ministerial reshuffle if they respect each other.

He says if those in positions recognise the efforts of others in the electioneering period, as well as their potential impact, and draw them closer, they wouldn’t need a reshuffle.

According to him, any Minister who assumes they wield power to control affairs without the support of those with critical grassroots information is bound to fail.

Appearing on Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye, on Monday, May 11, 2026, Gbande noted not all party members can be appointed ministers, stressing the need to extend support to those in position for the betterment of the party.

“The current setup that we have, if we respect each other, there wouldn’t be reshuffle, we’ll succeed. Because if you’re a minister and recognises that somebody can be in your position and draw them closer to empower them, why would somebody be needing your position? Even when I’m failing, they will help me to succeed.

“It’s not all of us that can become Ministers. We need to help them to succeed. Some of us must recognise that there are people who went to the grounds and have information you don’t have so if you’re moving out as a Minister and those people are not aware, you’ll go and wouldn’t make the impact,” he indicated.
