The 2026 Onua-Atena Community League will be heading into the final zonal fixtures on Saturday, August 22 after qualifiers from Zone B and Zone C were determined over the weekend.

After Lashibi Community 13 and Aworshia Movement (Anglican FC) made it on the opening day, from Zone A, there was two-day continuous action at the La McDan Park for Zone B and Zone D.

Majesty Stars and Dansoman Glefe’s Dynamic Boyz began it all. After a goalless draw, the game went straight to penalties, won 2-1 by Majesty Stars.

Defending champions Ashaiman Revelations made it 1-0 over Amasaman Goal Soccer Academy to progress, setting up a play-off against Majesty Stars.

The third game saw Ga Mashie America Palace progress with a 1-0 win over Ashaiman Freetown while the final match in the first round saw La Coastal United secure a 4-2 shoot-out win over Old Ashongman.

This set up a derby between Ga Mashie and La Coastal United in the play-offs for the quarter-finals.

Before that game, Ashaiman Revelations cruised to a 2-0 win to book their place.

The much-anticipated derby between Ga Mashie and La Coastal Utd ended goalless but the latter emerged 5-4 winners of the marathon penalty shootouts.

A protest raised by Ga Mashie saw organisers hold on in declaring La Coastal Utd outright winners.

On Sunday, August 16, South La Estates lost on penalties to Ashongman Ashville FC after a goalless game.

Tema Community 2 Vision Stars made it 2-0 over John Teye while Tema Comm. 25 (Future Gem) also made it 2-0 over Sakumono Comm. 13.

There was pure entertainment for fans at the La McDan Park as Madina Redco slugged it out with Labone Heroes. It ended 2-1 in favour of the neighbourhood side.

In the play-offs for the two tickets to the quarter-finals, scheduled for Sunday, August 23, Ashville FC beat Tema Comm. 2 by 2-1 while Labone Heroes won 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw against Tema Comm. 25.

All the qualifiers to the quarter finals receive a cash of GH¢1,000 from Atena NLA as part of preparations.

With the last zone left, the men are being separated from the boys as the tournament progresses.
