President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sent his best wishes to the over 600k candidates who are undertaking the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The examination, which is the first public assessment the children are taking will grant them opportunity in the various second cycle institutions of their choice.

The five-day exercise began on Monday, August 7, 2023, and will end on Friday, August 11.

Taking to his twitter, the president urged all the candidates to exhibit integrity during the period to avoid all forms of malpractices, pass the exam to grant them access for government’s Free Senior High School.

“I send best wishes to all 600,714 students sitting this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination, which begun today. I urge all students not to engage in any acts of examination malpractice, complete their exams successfully, and move on to the next stage of their education, senior high school, which is free,” his tweet indicated.
