The Black Stars stepped out on Monday to hold their first training in Casablanca, Morocco, where the team has opened camping ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic on Wednesday.

About 20 players joined training with Caleb Yirenkyi, Mohammed Salisu, and new boy Kojo Oppong Pepra arriving from their respective bases to add to the numbers in camp.

For the first time in almost a year, Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Olympique Rennais’ Alidu Seidu trained with their international teammates at the Mohammed V Sports Complex.

Among those who trained were all three goalkeepers – Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang.

Defenders Alexander Djiku, Jerome Opoku, Gideon Mensah, and Alidu Seidu.

Midfielders Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Kwasi Sibo, Ebenezer Annan, Elisha Owusu, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Medeama SC’s Prince Owusu.

Jordan Ayew, Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Christopher Bonsu Baah and Joseph Paintsil all trained.

The team will depart Casablanca for Meknès on Tuesday.
