Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bofoakwa Tano FC Alexander Ababio says new coach John Eduafo Jnr is the best person to handle the side because of his track record of discipline.

He said investigations he made about the new coach to handle the Bono Region team is that he is one of the most disciplined in the country currently.

To him, that is the attitude Bofoakwa Tano FC need at this time.

Alex Ababio, who was recently elected the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Tain Constituency, made this known in an interview with Onua Sports over the weekend.

Talking to Isaac Ansah Apagya from the team’s base in the Bono Region, the young CEO said it behoves on every administrator to consider the heart a manager has for their job and that is what he did in the search for a new coach for Bofoakwa Tano FC.

“I had requests from many coaches and even today I had calls from two people,” he said on Saturday, December 9.

“[But] when you are going for someone, you look at the heart the person has for the job. Some may want the job because they have no jobs.”

He added that investigations “I made about [John Eduafo Jnr] is that he is someone who can handle the players”.

“He can discipline players and he is understanding.”

He said the former Kotoku Royals coach has the knack of ensuring that his players get what they deserve in order to demand more from them.

“And we at Bofoakwa Tano FC ensure that we provide what our players need.”

Bofoakwa Tano FC is currently 11th in the 18-team Ghana Premier League with 16 points.

They parted ways with Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso and his assistant, Isaac Kofi Sarfo, last month.

John Eduafo Jnr, who until recently was an Assistant Coach at Asante Kotoko, was announced over the weekend as Frimpong Manso’s replacement.

Alex Ababio said the aim of the club now is to remain in the League and build upon the blocks next season.
