Captain Smart has dared the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to arrest the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernanrd Antwi Bosiako, a.k.a. Wontumi if they are men.
According to Captain Smart, the NIB cannot arrest Wontumi despite glaring evidence from state institutions spelling his involvement in illegal mining.
Speaking on the morning show, Maakye Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Captain Smart said because “Nana is in Wontumi’s pocket, there is no way the NIB can arrest the galamsey kingpin in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking further, he repeated what he once said about the former Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, a.k.a. Sir John wrote to President Akufo-Addo about Wontumi’s galamsey activities.

Aside from that, the Minerals Commission and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources have equally written about Wontumi’s illegal entry into the Tano Nimiri Forest reserve without license.
“I asked the National Security ‘when are you going to arrest Wontumi? Why don’t you arrest him? You are rather arresting the young guys you’ve not given jobs. Nana Addo is bragging about galamsey. He can’t fight it. IMF has warned him that’s why he is making noise.
“Sir John told you about it. Lands Commission told you about it, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources have all given you evidence about Wontumi yet u can’t arrest him. NIB you arrested me, if you’re men, go and arrest Wontumi. He is still doing galamsey destroying forests and polluting water bodies and nobody is doing anything,” he ranted.
