The woes of former champions Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League continued on Sunday after they suffered their second defeat in the hands of debutants Young Apostles FC.
Despite trailing 1-2 at half-time, Young Apostles overturned the score to win 3-2.
They drew first blood at the Nana Abrefa Nketia VII Stadium in Wenchi through Mohammed Moftaw after his torso deflected a shot into Aduana Stars’ goal.
However, Emmanuel Marfo restored parity for the 2009 champions five minutes later.
They, then, shot into the lead much to the disappointment of home fans who appeared to be facing the ignominy of losing for the first time at the ground.
However, two goals in the second half – one in injury time – secured all three points for Young Apostles.
They will next face Berekum Chelsea.
