Communications Director for Ghana Football Association (GFA) Henry Asante Twum has thrown his support for CAF Confederation Cup campaigners Dreams FC and believes that their efforts and exploits in the competition so far inspire confidence going into their crucial semi-final clash with Egyptian giants Zamalek FC.

Henry further indicated that the GFA will support Dreams as they face Zamalek in the semi-finals of the ongoing competition.

Speaking exclusively to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the FA spokesperson stated that the Dawu-based club has convinced football followers in the country that they are capable of taking on Zamalek and therefore deserve the support of the nation.

He stated: “Dreams FC have made us proud, and the FA will support them as they face Zamalek in order to reach the finals; what they have done so far indicates that they can do it this time.”

Dreams FC have surpassed expectations after defeating Stade Malien 3-2 on aggregate to reach the semi-finals of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup in their debut season.

They will take on continental giants Zamalek who have the won the CAF Champions League five times, the Confederation Cup title once and won the CAF Super Cup title on four occasions.
