John Dramani Mahama, after receiving favourable numbers to be the likely elected President in a poll by Global InfoAnalytics, is taking his next campaign to the North East Region.

This is the home region of his main opponent and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party, Dr. Dahamadu Bawumia.

The NDC flag bearer, during his tour in the region, will visit the palace of the late Gambaga chief and also pay homage to the palace of the Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, Naa Bohagu Abdulai Sheriga.

John Mahama will also spend some two days vigorously campaigning in Walewale, the hometown of Dr Bawumia.

He will hold community engagements and durbars as part of the campaign in the north East Region.

The NDC is hoping to snatch the Walawale seat from the NPP after some internal wranglings in the ruling party that saw the election of economic adviser to the Vice President Dr. Abdul Kabiru as parliamentary candidate for the NPP.
