A new venue has been announced for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Central African Republic (CAR).

The two nations were originally scheduled to lock horns in the penultimate qualifier at the Ben M’Hamed El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.

However, a new notice to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has shifted the match to Stade d’Honneur de Meknes, also in Morocco.

The date for the encounter remains Wednesday, October 8 at 4:00pm.

The Black Stars continue to lead Group I with 19 points and a win could grant them the ticket to the World Cup.

CAR are fifth on the six-team log with 5 points from the total points tally so far.

The Black Stars will play nemesis Comoros in the final qualifier in Accra on Sunday, October 12.
