The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has commended the management and staff of Onua TV/FM for the Onua GC-Brand Community League.

The initiative is aimed at promoting community engagement, entertainment, and healthy lifestyles through soccer.

It was launched last Saturday, July 12 at the Mexico School Park in Tema Community 2.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Asante Twum emphasised that the GFA is mandated as the sole body to oversee the administration of football in the country.

However, the Association cannot do it all alone but can only play this role well through partnerships.

“So, if other agencies and organisations and then an entity like Onua TV has come up with this beautiful initiative, we felt there is the need to give them a push and the needed support,” he stated.

“So we will, first of all, commend the leadership and management of Onua TV for such a wonderful initiative.”

He pledged the GFA’s full support, officially launching the competition.
