Economic Fighters League’s (EFL) Nii Ayi Opare says Ghana has not made corruption a disincentive enough to deter people from engaging in it.

He says the rate at which people embezzle state funds courtesy the Auditor General’s Report is so disgusting.

Commenting on the report on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye Tuesday, September 6, 2022, the Spokesperson for the EFL picked on the Citizen’s Coalition who picketed at the Auditor General’s office on his disallowance and surcharge role he has been sleeping on.

He noted the Attorney General has been given the constitutional mandate to undertake such responsibility and should be held accountable for prosecution of corrupt officials rather than the Auditor General.

“We have to make people afraid to be corrupt. The CSOs who picketed at the Auditor General’s office should bow their heads in shame. It is clueless. Attack the Attorney General not the Auditor General,” he noted, adding that the leaders who are looting the state coffers are “robbing the youth of our future.”

He described the leadership as “more evil than the devil. If you read the Auditor General’s report, you’ll pick a gun. You can’t take them to court for wasting our human resources”
