Greater Accra Region’s representative, Lamiley, has emerged as the biggest winner of Week Five of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) 2026, taking home both the Star Performer and Best Costume awards during the Traditional Delicacy Night.
The week-five episode celebrated Ghana’s rich culinary heritage, with the 16 contestants using food, storytelling, costumes and performances to showcase traditional delicacies and food cultures from their respective regions.
Lamiley’s performance focused on the versatility of corn in Greater Accra’s culinary tradition. Through a theatrical presentation, she explored how the indigenous staple has evolved into some of the region’s most popular delicacies.
Her performance earned her the Star Performer award, while her traditional outfit also impressed the judges enough to secure the Best Costume prize.
Lamiley has now added another major achievement to her GMB@20 campaign. She previously won the Star Performer title during the opening episode of the 20th-anniversary edition, making this her second Star Performer recognition of the competition.
Volta Region’s Sessinam also had a strong showing on the night, winning the Most Eloquent award.
Sessinam’s presentation took viewers through the culinary traditions of the Volta Region, using a playful story centred on winning a lover’s heart through food. She highlighted breakfast dishes, main meals, snacks and drinks while showcasing the diversity of Volta’s cuisine.
The Traditional Delicacy Night also featured a Best Costume shortlist comprising Basi, Ayinboma, Kiba, Sessinam and Lamiley, with Lamiley eventually taking the award.
For the Most Eloquent category, Ampomaa, Sessinam and Arhinmaa were nominated, with Sessinam emerging victorious.
Lamiley, Sessinam and Arhinmaa were also recognised among the contenders for the Star Performer award, with Lamiley taking the ultimate honour.
The week-five performances were assessed by resident judges Janet Sunkwa-Mills, Nana Adwoa Awindor and Nana Krobea Asante. Former GMB queens Adoley (2008) and Sarfo (2021) also appeared at the Queen’s Corner.
GMB@20, which brings together 16 contestants representing Ghana’s 16 regions, is celebrating two decades of beauty, culture, tradition and entertainment. The 2026 edition has placed particular emphasis on using the platform to tell stories about Ghanaian heritage and regional identities.
The competition continues to intensify as contestants battle for the ultimate GMB crown, with each week providing another opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, cultural knowledge, eloquence and stage presence.
Catch the GMB@20 live performance every Sunday at 8:00pm on TV3 as the contestants battle for the crown, cash, car and bragging rights.
