Embattled Hohoe United stunned Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC at the Tarkwa T N A Stadium with a 2-1 win on Sunday, March 8.
It was a Matchday 25 encounter in the League with Medeama SC with an opportunity to extend their lead.
Second-placed Bibiani Goldstars had lost 1-3 to Young Apostles.
But after a goalless first half, Kelvin Obeng shot the Yellow and Mauves into the lead after just two minutes from the break.
However, an own goal by Fatawu Sulemana put the visitors back to level terms.
The Volta Region side, then, clinched victory from the claws of the leaders to boost their chances of staying in the top-flight league after their debut season.
They now go 13th on the log with 30 points while Medeama still keep their top position.
Hohoe United will travel to Sweden to face Swedru All Blacks in the battle of survival while Medeama will trek to Tuba to face in-form Dreams FC.
