The board of Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak has broken its silence on the recent spate of poor results recorded by the team.
The club has only won one in their last six games.
They lost 0-1 to Accra Lions last Wednesday in a Matchday 28 fixture in the League.
They will travel to Berekum to play Berekum Chelsea in their next fixture.
The recent run of poor results sees the team lying 12th on the log with 35 points.
In a statement on Friday, May 3, the board of Hearts of Oak said they are addressing the recent outcome of play by team.
“The board will like to address the recent poor results of the team, which we find unacceptable,” the statement opened.
“Please be assured that we are actively engaged in discussions with Management and the technical team to address this concern promptly.
“The board will ensure the club takes all the necessary measures to reverse this trend and regain our competitive edge.”
Chaired by the Agbogbomafia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, the board assured that it is committed to upholding the rich heritage of Hearts of Oak.
It also assured, in the statement, that the dedication and support of all stakeholders as well as supporters are valued “and every effort is being made to overcome this challenge”.
“Your continued support is invaluable to us as we work towards a brighter future for Accra Hearts of Oak.
“Together, we will navigate through this period and emerge stronger than ever before.”
