Ghana Premier League debutants Hohoe United have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their withdrawal from the 2025/26 edition. 

The Hohoe-based side announced their withdrawal from the league ahead of their Matchday 28 game against Eleven Wonders on Friday, April 3.

They damned the consequences of their decision, expressing awareness of same.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the GFA said the action of the club breaches Articles 13(1) and 34(6)(d) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2025.

The statement alleged that the club withdrew from the League “without just cause”.

“It is further alleged that the conduct of the club brings the name of the game into disrepute.”

The club, which currently lies 16th, has up to Tuesday, April 14 to respond to the charge.
