Onua Maakye host, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, has railed at politicians who accost him wrongly in line of his duty.
He says “I’m a naked wire, if you dare touch me, I’ll shock you.”
His statement stems from comments he made about the Ashanti Regional minister during the Onua Maakye team’s visit to Kumasi which made the minister’s Aide call him.
Mr. Smart who said Kumasi has become a big village and no more the ‘Garden City’ it hitherto was, questioning the essence of the regional minister and other government appointees received a phone call from the minister’s Aide questioning why he reprimanded his boss.
But Captain Smart who said it is his responsibility to criticise authorities to ensure they live up to the mandate given to them said he will meet politicians boot for boot whenever he feels their deeds should be criticised if they are incongruous with the demands of the masses.
He questioned if the politicians are happy with the state of Kumasi, thereby having issues when queried over the deplorable state of affairs.
Areas in the city which were not flood prone all flood when it rain these days due to construction in waterways which prevents running water to flow.
Also, roads have seen their massive deterioration in years as many which were under construction have been halted because government has not been paying contractors.
Despite some NPP communicators thronging the Akoma FM/Onua TV Peoples’ Assembly Wednesday to debunk reports from Onua and Akoma reporters about the bad roads in parts of the capital, the contractor in charge of the project, Kofi Job Construction, was at the studios of Akoma FM the next day saying they abandoned the project two years ago because funding has seized.
Captain Smart has declared a war with the politicians saying he is not going to spare them over what the state has been paying them to do.
