Lawyer Yaw Boamah Nyarko, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Effia Constituency Parliamentary candidate hopeful, has promised to explore all opportunities in the area to provide jobs and development for the constituents.

The legal practitioner and taxation expert whilst speaking in an interview with Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show indicated that he is poised to retain the Effia Constituency seat for the NPP.

He adds that his candidature comes with fresh ideas that will ensure the standards of living of the people are improved.

“I’m in this contest with fresh ideas that will ensure developments in the constituency to improve the living standards of the people. I have a holistic understanding of governance and if you travel in some constituencies, you see massive developments but the same cannot be said about Effia. There are no jobs in the constituency for the people. I have had interactions with people and I have realised the needs of the constituents. I’m ready to ensure those challenges are resolved,” he indicated.

The employee of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) added that the incumbent MP who doubles as the Minister of Public Enterprises presented himself in 2012 and has since led the constituency in parliament.

He adds that it is about time others also lead the constituency with fresh ideas.

“There are structures in the party and anyone in good standing with interest can contest. He presented himself in 2012 and now it’s time for others to also contest. I have something to offer, I believe I have a lot to offer to the constituency. I have offered employment to many people in the constituency and I believe I can do more if I become their leader,” he added.
