Contrary to public perception, Nana Ama Mcbrown has revealed that she was not under employment with any media organisation before joining Media General.

Termed as the biggest media transfer of the decade, the award winning actress and presenter was unveiled as a staff of Onua TV at a grand durbar on Monday, March 13, 2023.

However, reacting to the move, several old colleagues from her former employer, Despite Media have labelled her as ‘ungrateful’ along with other unprintable words.

Speaking to 3FM earlier, the versatile TV personality denied the assertion in the public space that she was poached from United Television with a juicier offer.

“I had this call honestly about somewhere early February. I ignored it. I was thinking about it, I was praying, I wanted to be sure even though at that moment I didn’t have much to do apart from ambassadorial deals,” she revealed.

According to the new Onua TV presenter, she had spoken to her former employers about going on a break from December due to certain reasons and discussed plans to create new content for Television but they failed to reach out to her.

Due to their failure to reach out to her and a lack of contract thereof, she gladly accepted the move to Media General.

“I didn’t want to go into this but I have to say it because of where the conversation is going,” Mcbrown explained on the Live morning show that has taken the internet by storm “I told my previous employers that I want to hold on from December and let’s think of something new to do. Honestly, i was waiting for them to say come think of what we can do. However, I do not have a contract with anyone so if no one is minding me I have the right to move on.

“I am not here to explain much,” she added

The Asoreba actress disclosed she was a very prayerful person who consulted her Maker before taking every step in her career and life.

“This is me. I pray about every step I take. I don’t just move. There are some businesses that come to me I pray about them and when I have bad energy, I politely tell them I am talking to someone about it because I don’t want to step on toes,” she disclosed.

As for her plans for her new role, she told the crew that she plans to work hard and bring impact especially into the lives of young people like herself who did not have any basic education.

“I am in to work and this time I will make sure whatever I do has big impact on society especially the young ones because I know there are more people out there like myself that could not go to school and do not have help. I will make sure that it is more impactful and exciting,” she declared.
