Top scorer Emilio Nsue played the entire duration of the game but could not find the back of the net.
An opportunity to increase his tally to six at the Nations Cup was missed as he missed a penalty awarded after Iban Salvador was brought down in the penalty box.
Despite exiting the tournament, he will still be gunning for the Golden Boot award.
