Three players of Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been named in the Best XI in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.

Forward Tracey Twum and defenders Comfort Yeboah and Abena Anoma Opoku were among the players named by the Technical Study Group in Cote d’Ivoire as best performers from the group stage.

The Ghanaian champions made it out of the group after beating Equatorial Guinea’s Huracanes FC 3-1.

They are set to face Morocco’s SC Casablanca on Wednesday, November 15 in the semi-finals.

The naming of the three Ampem Darkoa players in the Best XI so far comes after two of them received nominations for the 2023 CAF Awards.

Comfort Yeboah and Tracy Twum were both nominated in the 10-player shortlist for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year.

The former, together with team mate Mary Amponsah, received nomination for the CAF Young Player of the Year.

Coach Nana Joe Adarkwa was also named as one of the 10 coaches to vie for the CAF Women’s Coach of the Year.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC were also nominated for the CAF Women’s Club of the Year.
