Government has deployed earth-moving heavy equipment to the Assin North district to get their roads fixed ahead of the upcoming by-election.

The approach, which was employed by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the Kumawu by-election barely a fortnight ago despite the constituency being their stronghold, has been criticised by well meaning Ghanaians.

Right after the Kumawu polls, some of the equipments have been relocated to the Assin North constituency pending the June 27 exercise.

According to Captain Smart, denying constituents the needed development to come up with some impetuous projects because by-election looms is subjecting them to political slavery.

During his Fabewoso segment on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye on Friday, June 2, 2023, he criticised the approach, using the legendary Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption’ song.
