The founder and leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has made a special prayer for politicians especially the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 general elections.
He says he wants God to deal adequately with those in leadership who have misused state resources as the nation prepares towards another election in about 12 months time.
The man whose newly formed political party placed third to the ruling NPP and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 general elections says it would be unfair for God to grant life to greedy politicians who have pocketed monies meant for the development of the state for people to suffer.
In a viral video shared by a former deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, on X, the founder and head pastor of the Life Assembly Worship Center is seen asking God not to grant breath to those who have siphoned the state’s resources for their interest.
