The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken further steps to ensure that BECE candidates slated for the 2023 schools selection go through the process successfully.

The Service says it is going to release a short code where candidates can check their schools before the placements would be made.

In a statement issued by the GES Friday, August 11, 2023, the ministry noted that the exercise for “this year’s guidelines for school selection into Senior High Schools will commence Friday 18th August, 2023.”

“This exercise will take place in all the respective Regional, District Education Directorates and schools. Management further informs stakeholders that the selection of schools is scheduled from 23rd August to 4th September 2023,” a section of the release indicated.

To ensure a smooth placement this year, the Ministry has urged parents and guardians to be inclusive in the process.

“Again, there would be an opportunity for candidates to text to a short code and confirm their school choices before actual Placement will be done. Details of the short code will be made available in due course,” the statement concluded.
