Host of Onua TV/FM’s Maakye, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, known in the showbiz industry as Captain Smart, has composed his rendition of gospel musical artiste, Anita Obeng’s ‘M’apim’ to wit I’m at the crossroads which featured Ernest Opoku Jnr, for President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to Captain Smart, the President’s admission to the challenges currently confronting the state and his utterance which supposes he is not the one intending to solve the problems, is an indication for Ghanaians not to expect anything from him till he hands over power in January 2025.
President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after casting his ballot at the NPP headquarters Saturday, August 26, 2023, during the party’s special delegates’ conference for the 2024 flagbearer, indicated that he has admitted to the challenges in the country and he is hoping that the NPP would elect someone who will come and get rid of the difficulties.
“Things are difficult. I’m the first to admit it. I’ve said it several times. I’m the first to admit and at the end of the day when the moment comes, Ghanaians will reflect on the best to get us out of these difficulties and get us to the next stage and that is the New Patriotic Party,” he said.
Following the statement, broadcaster Captain Smart said the President’s inability to assure Ghanaians of addressing the issues himself but to leave the fate of the economy on whoever the NPP elects as flagbearer means there is nothing he can do.
