Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has revealed reason why some players were not named in his latest squad.
The gaffer on Thursday, August 29 named his 23-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola, on Thursday, September 5, and Niger, on Monday, September 9.
Some key players were left out of the squad due to injury.
Among these are RC Lens’ Salis Abdul Samed, Olympique Lyonnais’ Ernest Nuamah and Auxerre’s Gideon Mensah, all in France.
The others are Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana and Atalanta’s Ibrahim Sulemana Karikari.
There was no place in Addo’s squad for captain Andre Dede Ayew, whose last outing with the team was at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in La Côte d’Ivoire.
