The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has extended congratulatory message to Media General’s Godwin Asediba on winning the prestigious BBC Komla Dumor Award 2025.
The Association also commended Godwin, a GJA member for other notable recognitions, including the Michael Elliott Award for Excellence in African Storytelling and his remarkable achievements at the GJA Awards and beyond.
The Association in a statement to extol Godwin said “your consistent demonstration of excellence, innovation and commitment to impactful journalism continue to bring pride not only to the GJA but also to Ghana.”
GJA noted that Godwin’s recognitions in the past are “real testaments” to his dedication to telling impactful stories that “engender change, amplify voices, and contribute to national development.”.
“Wining the various GJA Awards has indeed spurred you on to do more and we encourage other young journalists to strive for excellence at all times,” GJA remarked.
The GJA encouraged Godwin to persist in pursuit of truth, fairness and professionalism while he embarks on professional journey.
The Association expressed its pleasure with Godwin’s exceptional example and spurred him on to continue with his good works.
