Charles Gyamfi Kamara’s strike less than 10 minutes from time gave Aduana FC a vital 1-0 away win over beleaguered Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
It was a rejuvenated side after a managerial change for Eleven Wonders just before the game.
Nii Odartey Lamptey had stepped down following last week’s 2-3 loss to 10-man Nations FC and in came veteran JE Sarpong for the game.
Originally scheduled for Monday, November 3, the Matchday 8 encounter was moved to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Coiaba Aristica’s side were on the road again after a successful one at Hohoe on Matchday 6. With 10 men, the Ogya Boys beat debutants Hohoe United 2-0 at the Hohoe Sports Stadium.
Therefore, playing goalless after 80 minutes was going to be a good result for Eleven Wonders.
However, Gyamfi had other ideas as he scored in the 83rd minute to give his side the maximum points and lift them to the top of the Ghana Premier League table.
They have a total of 18 points, one more than their next opponents Medeama SC.
That match at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on Saturday, November 8 will be broadcast live on Onua TV.
Eleven Wonders are set to travel to a familiar territory, Tema, to play Vision FC on Matchday 9.
They are still seeking a win in the 2025/26 GPL as they have only two points from eight games and are 17th on the 18-team log.
