The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has urged her constituents and the entire citizenry as a whole to observe the festive season with moderation and kindness.
In a Christmas message issued ahead of the yuletide, the lawmaker emphasised the importance of avoiding excessive spending during the Christmas season, noting that the privilege of celebration should be used to support those in need.
“Let us use this season to support the needy and spread joy to those who are less fortunate,” she said.
The MP also took the opportunity to address the issue of road safety, urging drivers to minimize excessive speeding and ensure the safety of all road users. “As we move about to celebrate with our loved ones, let us do so with caution and care for one another,” she appealed.
Madam Cudjoe reminded Christians in Amenfi Central and across the country that the birth of Christ is a celebration of salvation and urged them to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
“The birth of Jesus Christ is a time for joy, peace, and reflection. Let us celebrate with gratitude and kindness,” she said.
In her message, she further wished all constituents and Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026. “May the spirit of Christmas bring peace, love, and prosperity to all. Merry Christmas and a happy new year,” she said.
