As usual, nine outstanding players of the Ghana Premier League went home with prizes from electronic giants, NASCO, as they were named best players of Matchweek 21 over the weekend.

The matchweek started in Kumasi on Friday, January 30 when Medeam SC’s remarkable 17-match unbeaten run was brought to an end by Nations FC in a 2-1 defeat.

Nations FC Captain Razak Simpson, who scored both goals for his side, was named the best player of the match.

On Saturday, Heart of Lions thrashed Asante Kotoko 3-1 in Kpando and their player, Melvin Asenso, was named the NASCO Player of the Match while Dreams FC’s John Antwi was named the Man of the Match in the 2-2 draw away to Vision FC.

Sunday saw six matches and six more winners of the prize.

Hearts of Oak’s Ali Mohammed was named the best player of his side’s home match with Bechem United. It ended 0-0 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

At the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale, where Karela defeated Hohoe United 1-0, Abdul Rahman Yahaya won the best player, while Seidu Saana of Aduana FC was adjudged Man of the Match between Aduana and Samartex in Dormaa.

Baseke Holy Stars defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 at home and their star man, Issah Yakubu, was named the most outstanding player of the match, just as Hussein Issah, who scored a brace, emerged Man of the Match as Young Apostles thrashed Eleven Wonders 3-0 in Wenchi.

At Bibiani, defending champions Goldstars defeated Swedru All Blacks 1-0 and the lone goal hero, Kelvin Oppong, also emerged as the Man of the Match.

Each MOTM winner was presented with a NASCO humidifier and an electric iron as their prizes.
