An injury-time penalty by Emmanuel Marfo on Friday gave Aduana FC a 2-1 win over leaders Bibiani Goldstars SC.
It was an early Matchday 29 game in the Ghana Premier League.
The match, played at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa, was the first of nine games scheduled for the weekend.
The hosts drew first blood in the 58th minute through Benjamin Tsivanyo.
Substitute Razack Sanou, however, equalised for the champions a few minutes later in the second half.
With the match set for a stalemate, the referee called for an infringement in the penalty area of the Miners, giving Cioaba Aristica’s men the opportunity to win the match.
Marfo made no mistake as he converted from the spot to give the Ogya Boys all three points and take them past Asante Kotoko on the log.
They are now fourth with 45 points, six behind Goldstars SC, who still continue to lead the table.
Aduana FC’s next game will be away at Ampain to play Basake Holy Stars while Goldstars host FC Samartex in a Western Region derby.
