Two-time champions Aduana FC are back at the top of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League after a thrilling 3-1 win over regional rivals Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The Matchday 11 game at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa gave fans the excitement they expected on the day.

The Ogya Boys made their intentions clear after just six minutes when Samuel Ansah opened the scoring.

Hensen Amponsah doubled the lead for Coiaba Aristica’s side after barely 10 minutes from restart.

Though Seidu Abubakar halved the deficit in what could have been a sweet comeback for the 2010 champions, in-form Emmanuel Marfo put the game beyond the Blues as he restored the two-goal lead six minutes from time.

The win sees Aduana FC leapfrog Medeama SC, who were held to a goalless draw at home by rejuvenated Bechem United.

The Bono side lead the log with 23 points, one more than second-placed Heart of Lions and Medeama.

Aduana FC’s next game will be away to champions Bibiani Goldstars, on Sunday, November 30.
