Head Coach of Nsoatreman FC Maxwell Konadu has lauded Dreams FC for their exploits in the CAF Confederation Cup after they reached the semi-final of the second-tier club competition on the continent.

The Black Meteors coach said Dreams FC themselves may have been surprised by their run in the competition.

Speaking on Onua FM‘s Onua Sports Center on Monday, May 13 after his side secured a final berth in the MTN FA Cup, the former Black Stars coach said he looks forward to winning the tournament to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

He, however, insisted that the decision is management’s to take.

“It is management that will take the decision,” he told host Alfred Takyi Mensah.

“Normally, a team is always ready for the trial but other things are for management to decide.”

He also indicated that Nsoatreman FC cannot compare themselves to Dreams FC regarding a maiden campaign in Africa.

“We can’t compare ourselves to anybody,” he indicated.

“The wonders Dreams FC did is one of the best things to happen to any club. They were even surprised themselves,” he admitted, adding that they can as well surprise everyone like Dreams did: “Well, you never know what will happen.”

Dreams FC were 90 minutes away from a dream final in the CAF Confederation Cup.

After a goalless draw at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt in the first leg, Dreams FC conceded three goals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to exit the competition.

Nsoatreman are 90 minutes away from also securing that single ticket to represent Ghana in the competition.

They play Bofoakwa Tano FC, who beat Dreams FC 2-1 in the semi-final.
