Media General’s Ace broadcaster, Blessed Godsbrain Smart known in the media space as Captain Smart has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of a US-based organisation.
His appointment to lead the Board of the Ohio African Community Excellence Awards – USA, takes immediate effect according to a statement issued by the organisation.
The African Community Excellence Awards USA is a leading award scheme that recognises individuals, groups, businesses and organisations making remarkable impact in the African communities in Ohio.
The organisation is confident Mr. Samrt will provide strong leadership and guidance to the board and management team to drive its continued success and growth.

Recounting his wealth of experience from various leadership positions held by the broadcaster, the scheme expressed optimism in making strides under the leadership of the radio cum TV presenter.
As Chairman, the organisation expects Captain Smart to “provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation’s management team, ensuring alignment with the Board’s vision and goals.”
He is also expected to enhance the organisation’s reputation with his role by fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
