Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Samuel Aboabire has commended Otto Addo for a spectacular job done since taking over as Black Stars Head Coach.

Otto Addo was confirmed the Back Stars gaffer on a three-year deal on March 15, 2024 after the sacking of Chris Hughton over the poor AFCON 2023 campaign earlier in the year.

The former Borussia Dortmund trainer, however, failed to secure Ghana a ticket to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco after finishing bottom in a group comprised of Angola, Sudan and Niger.

Despite Otto Addo’s inability to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON, Mr Aboabire believes the 49-year-old has done incredibly well since his return as the Black Stars tactician.

“Otto Addo is doing well as the Black Stars coach just that goal-scoring has been the team’s problem,” he told Onua TV in an interview on Agoro Fie on Monday, December 30.

Meanwhile, it has been highly reported that Otto Addo will maintain his position as the Black Stars head coach despite several calls for his sacking.
