The National Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has dismissed allegations by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that his party has plotted to rig the December 7 elections.
Describing the allegations as “baseless”, Nana Boakye said the actions of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) suggests the party is not ready for the elections looking at the utterances of its members.
Speaking on Onua FM’s Asɛm Bɛn Ni? Wednesday, November 20, Nana B, as he is popularly known, said the allegations only prove that the NDC has not prepared with barely 17 days to the polls.
His comments come on the back of allegations by the NDC indicating the governing party is planning an election-rigging modus with one Brigadier General Michael Opoku, who orchestrated the violence in the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

But according to Nana Boakye, the allegations leave much to be desired.
“If you are accusing one of rigging an election then it means you as a party you are not ready for the election. In fact even if you are alleging, you should allege something…, you say ballot stuffing and you bring in a whole Brigadier General.
“What I don’t even understand is him saying we’ll collect pink sheets because the pink sheets are duplication which are distributed to all agents. So his allegations are baseless. As a political party raising these issues at this time, you are not ready for the elections. We have just about 17 days to the elections. Ask them whether they have prepared their polling agents well,” he stated.
