Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has stirred major conversation online after revealing the personal sacrifice behind his recent concert in Ho.
According to the musician, he sold two of his luxury vehicles; a V8 and a Range Rover, to raise funds to finance his show, “The Torcher Experience” in Ho.
He made the revelation during an interview with broadcaster Kafui Dey, monitored by entertainment journalist Joseph Owusu Worae.
“I sold my V8 and my Range Rover for the show,” Stonebwoy disclosed, a statement that has since triggered mixed reactions across social media.
While some fans have praised the move as a bold show of commitment and belief in his craft, others have questioned the decision, describing it as extreme and unnecessary.
The conversation has become even more heated due to comparisons with his longtime rival, Shatta Wale.
Many critics, particularly fans of Shatta Wale, argue that organizing such a concert should not come at the cost of selling personal assets.
Some have mocked the decision, asking whether it was “by force” to host a birthday show.
Others, however, see it differently, interpreting the move as a sign of independence and a willingness to invest heavily in one’s vision, especially in an industry where artists often rely on sponsorship.
