Reappointed Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named former German international Joseph Laumann as one of three Assistant Coaches.

In a release on Saturday, March 16, the Borussia Dortmund talent coach also named former Black Stars defender John Paintsil and former goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda as part of his backroom staff.

The appointments come barely 24 hours after Otto Addo was returned as Black Stars coach.

Dauda, who played at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, is expected to assist the goalkeeping department.

He was recently with former Black Stars coach James Akwasi Appiah as the Assistant Coach with the Sudanese national team.

Paintsil, who was playmates with Otto at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, is expected to assist the defence department.

The former West Ham United and Fulham player is a CAF License B holder.

Before hanging his boots, the former Berekum Arsenal and Liberty Professionals right back assisted in coaching South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs.

Laumann is said to be of Moroccan descent.

He is a UEFA pro-Licence holder and has had coaching stints with Standard Liege in Belgium, VfL Bochum in Germany and Barnsley in England.

The trio will be on the bench with Otto when he supervises Black Stars’ two international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda in Morocco next week.
