The Technical Team of the Black Stars led by Carlos Queiroz has decided to keep Hearts of Oak shot stopper Solomon Agbasi in camp despite being left out of the team’s final squad.

Queiroz on Monday announced his final 26-man for the 2926 FIFA World Cup.

As expected, he axed two goalkeepers from the team that assembled in Cardiff for the Wales game on Tuesday.

One of these two is Solomon Agbasi.

“Keeping Solomon [Agbasi] in the squad as a fourth goalkeeper we reach two goals,” he stated, citing a development process he hopes to stay for a longer period as one of these goals.

The Portuguese manager explained that the decision was also taken due to his past experience.

“In the last two World Cups that I covered myself convincing one development player to be with us be part of the team and be ready to answer to the demands of the World Cup.”
