In a twist of events after Matchday 7, Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have ceded the coaching job to veteran Stephen Frimpong Manso.

This comes barely two days after parting ways with Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant, Johnson Smith.

The two were asked to leave shortly after the 3-2 win over Eleven Wonders on Sunday.

The Abrankese-based side have also named Aboagye Dacosta as an Assistant Coach.

Both Frimpong Manso and Aboagye Dacosta come with experience as former footballers.

The Head Coach led Bibiani Goldstars to their maiden league title last season, qualifying them for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League.

He was hired by the Miners after he was unceremoniously sacked by relegated Tano Bofoakwa.

However, after a disastrous start to the CAF Champions League with the Miners – going 0-2 down to JS Kabylie in the first leg at home – Frimpong Manso was sacked.

He will now have the singular duty of guiding Nations FC back to the top.

The club is currently 12th on the log with 8 points.
